Justice Week Critical Question

Is Melbourne Fair?

During justice week we set of for a journey to the courts! Before actually witnessing cases in person, I believed that the guilty or accused people got what they deserved but when I saw a couple of cases I kind of thought that it was a little bit unfair that one judge who is only one person decides the consiquences of this person.

When you compare Melbourne to another country, we have it pretty good! Weighing up the positive and negative sides of the justice and Melbourne overall, I personally think that Melbourne is pretty fair.

    Justice

    Hi Emma,

You have a very upbeat stance on Melbourne’s status as a fair city πŸ™‚

I would have liked to see you unpack the issue of justice a little more – define what you think ‘fair’ even means – and then consider using a number of examples to help you come to a decision about how fair Melbourne actually is.

If you want to rewrite this response in more detail – I will be happy to remark it.
